When we founded BAR OF HOPE, we agreed to some fundamental principles that will guide us - our values. Some things were a given, like a commitment to sustainability and waste reduction, along with our utmost dedication to product quality and the use of natural ingredients.
But rather than just doing no harm, we wanted to be a valuable part of the world we live in. So we decided to support a charity with a regular soap donation. We love the work that The Salvation Army do, they give hope to so many people and that felt like a good fit for us. So we set out to donate our BARS OF HOPE to them to either use in food parcels or sell in the shop.
This week was a real highlight for us, as we were able to make our first donation off the back of our first month of trading, December. It was a combination of gratitude, pride, happiness and a sense of achievement that we were able to give nearly 2kgs of soap to The Salvation Army Family Shop in Birkenhead, Auckland.
We are grateful to you for enabling us to do this, as every Pink Lemon-AID soap bar you buy results in a matched donation.
We are excited to continue on this journey of clean indulgence with you.
